I live with my wife of 56 years Karen at Eight Acre Wood in Inlet where I was the Forest Ranger for 35 years working in the Moose River Wild Recreation Area and West Canada Lakes Wilderness Area, now retired for 20 years, working summers for the Adirondack Center for Loon Conservation, observing, catching and banding loons. Wrote a column Daybreak to Twilight in local papers from 1986 to 2019, now write an article Outdoor Adventures in viewarts.org weekly blog. 2008 Coauthored a book with John M.C. “Mike” Peterson, Adirondack Birding- 60 Great Places to Find Birds. Banded birds at the Crown Point Banding Station since the early eighties and banded at EAW since getting a license to band in 2006.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Saturday 7:00 pm Annie and the Hedonists

A band with a great lead singer and tight harmonies, covering an eclectic mix of acoustic blues, vintage jazz and swing, and folk roots Americana.

Annie and the Hedonists perform at festivals, concerts, and swing dances.

The band interprets the songs of the great female blues artists of the ‘20s, 30s & 40s: Bessie Smith, Sippie Wallace, Memphis Minnie, Billie Holiday, Rosetta Tharpe, Blue Lu Barker, Ella Fitzgerald and others. Other styles include western swing, bluesy country, and roots Americana.
