YM Moonlight Hike #1 Green Lakes SP

We have a full moon very early in December. Combined with the early sunsets that makes scheduling full moon hikes very easy. Our first moonlight hike will be on December 3rd at the nature trails in Green Lakes State Park. There is a parking area and trail head to the Deer Run Trail on Green Lakes Road (NY – 290). We will meet there at 5:30, about half an hour after moonrise, and take a 5 mile hike on the trails. If there is at least 6 inches of snow on the ground snowshoes or skis are required, otherwise prepare for a boot hike.
