Join our organization and our chapter! ADK-ON Chapter membership benefits include our quarterly newsletter; outings; discounts on ADK publications, lodging, merchandise and educational programs; and access to our Yahoo! ADK_ON group. The ADK-ONONDAGA Chapter has a variety of outdoor, educational activities and volunteer opportunities that are listed in our quarterly chapter newsletter Talk of the Trail. In most years, we have around 200 scheduled outings, half of these are hikes and the rest are a mix of ski, snowshoe, canoe/kayak, trail building and maintenance, backpack, social and workshops. Our trips take us as far away as Canada and all over New York State, 25% were in the Adirondacks. We have trips scheduled every weekend. Also, we occasionally have Twilight Tuesday and Wednesday day hikes in areas close to Syracuse.For membership information contact one of our chapter's Membership Chairs, Peg Whaley at pwhaley@brjohnson.com or Gail Opanhoske at gopanhoske@yahoo.com. You can also join though the main chapter on-line at the main ADK organization's web site or call 800 395-8080. Be sure to designate Onondaga as your home chapter. As a chapter member you will be able to join us on Facebook and Yahoo! Groups to share your hikes and friendship with fellow members.
